My Last Mohican...

...starts kindergarten next week. She is counting down the days and it is all so bittersweet. After hanging out with Pop Pop we headed off to orientation today. They got to practice lining up, getting on the bus and then played in he cafeteria. Mom and the bro got to go to the massive info meeting in the cafeteria geared to all the first timers. KJ wanted to know why they were telling us all this stuff "everyone" knows and I pointed out that for many Moms and Dads this is thier first time. Then off to the classroom for the teacher spiel. This is where I discovered 3rd time's the charm! When the teacher told me they don't do homework in her room I could have squealed in delight...I didn't, but I blew double kisses instead and said "Thank you!" I was verclept...said I wouldn't be but no matter how you slice it this is a big event in her life and a milestone for me too. No matter how many kids you have it is mighty hard to send them out into the great big world when they are only 5 yrs old.

This was follwed by another scrimmage tonight. We won and I am grateful that we have 4 football free days ahead. And Dawg, you smartmouth (LOL), Pop quiz...I already taught you how cups are sized, but do you know what a striper is? I'll give you the answer next time.

That is awesome with the little one starting kindergarten. Sad for the parents but fun for the kids.
