Amber is such a sweet dog and her potential adopters are coming to meet her tomorrow. How she ended up knocked up in a kill shelter is beyond me. She actually IS the kind of of dog most people are searching for...Her test came back positive for heart worm today. And because there is a shortage of the meds she'd need she can't be treated before April. No microfilia in the blood so keeping her on preventative would treat it over time...but it would take quite some time and a re-test every 6 months until cleared.
I hope they still see how great she is. I hope they still want her. Sometimes life just isn't fair.
