Gratefully Balancing it all...

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.
Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” ~Melody Beattie
I'm grateful my BIL does not have cancer. He did have a false positive but will be fine. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. My sister visits here frequently and though she never comments I know she saw this and was grateful for all the extra support from people she's never had the grace to meet.
I went to a very cool seminar, for lack of a better word, at work today on taking care of yourself. We had folks in talking about cancer prevention and how to take care of the physical side of life with breast cancer awareness month in mind. This was pretty timely. I'm good about my screenings. My health dictates it. But not everyone on my lists of family and friends is...As a matter of fact I gave my Mom a brief lecture just this weekend.
You...If you are bad about it, GO.NOW.SCHEDULE.IT. Do your loved ones a favor and take care of yourself so you can be around to hang out with them. If you leave too soon you'll make it harder on them.
Then we had a fabulous woman talk about the stuff we all struggle with. Conveying her stories, and relating them to the personal emotional, balancing act side of life. She had grace and was amazing. I'll clue you in on the details later, but for now go back to the top here and re-read the quote...
