Oh my gosh! We've had soooo much rain. The river is high and muddy and the resevoir is fuller than it's been in the last few years. The grass is growing like crazy!
You know I got another "great idea" this year when my lawmower broke and decided rather than repairing I'd order a rechargable, cordless lawn mower. Think about it...no more messy gas, skipping along a quietly purring machine thst requires no oil changes and sctually being able to hear the 15 questions your kids forgot to ask you before you started. Well, the lawn mower was bought and paid for and due to be delivered this week. It didn't come. And it didn't come. And it didn't come. Soooo, I got my ex to cut the grass once again and went online to see where my flippin lawn mower might be. Turns our they waaaaay oversold and hope to deliver by the end of May now. Hmmm, not so much. I'm cancelling my order, getting my money back and fixing the icky gas one I already own. That shouldn't take 2 months of work!
Meanwhile, since it was "Dad's Night" with the kids Janice and I entertained them while he pushed the lawn mower back and forth on 2 wheels trying not to choke it out every little step he took. lol - We did homework, played in the hot tub, had dinner and washed the cars - the yard took a looong time. This was all great fun for the kids though. There's not much they love better than water. At least when they left they were all happy and tired...Kirt was happy the work was done and he hadn't agreed to do it again and the kids were happy they got to have fun and time with everyone they consider most important all in one day. :)
