A Clean Break...

We got Janice's heavy furniture moved in and some of both of our things into storage. We hired my ex and his brother but they didn't come cheap. They thought it was fair but I thought they could have cut us a break. The house looks gorgeous! I'll get around to posting pics soon, but we have similar tastes and it came together beautifully.

The bad news is that once the men cut and run for KJ's football game we made the fateful decision to get my great grandmother' table (whom I'm named after) and the swing set for the kids. The table went fine and we got the swing set up the ramp, then I broke my arm. The swing set is top heavy and it tipped. She jumped out of the way and rather than falling out of the end of the truck I jumped back to get in it. I tripped and fell and got radius break...Being the dumb, stubborn girl I am I insisted on still loading it - but one handed - dumped the stuff in the front yard, returned the truck and then was seen...I know, I know.

Well I went to the orthopedic doctor today and will go back Thursday to see a hand specialist. I have a soft cast, ice and vicodin til then but it still hurts like a bitch. I drove to work because I didn't have a power cord for my laptop, which made me ill, so I worked a few hours and then came home. I took a nap, logged on after and worked on the couch one handed propped up the rest of the day.

My family found out and all called to fuss at me and make me promise to rest. I agreed to work from home through Thursday. I hate it when I can't do stuff I want and while I know work understands I feel guilty too. I postponed the kids birthday trip to the water park since we were to leave Thursday and booked a weekend night at a beach hotel with a hot tub instead...

Pray for fast healing! I'm too stubborn and busy to be laid out for long. :)
