Here comes the sun, and I said...

I am a huge fan of Daylight Savngs time.
I love long summer days and starry nights on the deck.
I do not like the need to hibernate descnding upon me like a huge pile of rocks.
It has happened and the bitching has commenced.
The children couldn't care less about daylight in the morning and neither could I.
I felt bad for the high schoolers awaiting their buses in the dark but my kids hate being indoors by 5 or 6.
They feel like the warmth of the sun is wasted when they little to no time to embrace it and I agree.
And so we are already waiting the whispers of spring.
And then we shall sing...
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
And I say it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
And I say it's all right
It's all right

  1. scotland is not a particularly sunny place even in summer. i just have to remind myself that the sun's still shining, somewhere up there, beyond the clouds.

Let's just hope it's a fairly mild winter. Last year was rough.
