HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I hope you have lots of fun whatever you do and wherever you are!

As for me...I'm thinking about carving my own pumpkin, grabbing dinner, maybe hitting a club or bar and then basking in the glow of my Jack-O-Lantern from the hot tub! Here's one we carved at work for a contest...

I always loved Halloween as a child. I think my "best" and certainly the costume with the greatest effort was when my Mom made me a ladybug costume. It was homemade, but complete with a rounded back of foam, all home-sewed and nothing short of professional...I don't think I liked it at the time, because being and ignorant child I wanted something store-bought. My favorite costume of all time was when I went out in one of my recital costumes (think ballet here.) Those costumes were always fun beautiful and funky. I especially remember it because it was the year I got to go trick-or-treating with my friends sans parents. We all were good but I remember feeling soooo uber cool being out at night with my friends in what i considered a "hot" costume! What was your favorite?

Now totally changing subjects...I found some interesting info on the internet today. I recently read of a connection between the dopamine in your brain and ADHD...My Dad has and his cousin had Parsinson's disease and the family is littered with folks with ADHD so I thought I'd check and see if there was info on a connection between the 2 online. What I found surprised me and lent a flicker of hope for better treatments of both in the future: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=parkinson%27s%2C+dopamine%2C+adhd&aq=f&oq=

    Hi Lilli,
I like home made costumes, or store bought with extra accessories added.
Very atmospheric cemetery photo. The old tree is like a skeleton with arms reaching up. (shrug) I'm an artist, I notice things like that. (smile)

  3. Thanks, Chewy. That same view is what led me to capture the moment. :)

  4. I never appreciated the homemade costumes either, until I got a store bought Lucy costume and nearly asphyxiated from the fumes. I never complained about home made again!
Beautiful pictures down below. Very haunting and lovely.
